A Stammtisch (literally "regulars' table") is a centuries-old German tradition that is less of a formal meeting and more of a friendly neighborhood ritual. Historically, it was the reserved table in a local gasthaus where a group of friends or colleagues would gather at the same time each week to talk shop, debate the news, or simply share a laugh.
