Goethe Institut: Sister Cities - Connecting Places
The momentum behind the KugelTour received a massive international boost. Carmel Seiffen Sister Cities Inc. has officially been selected by the Goethe Institut: Sister Cities - Connecting Places to receive funding for the KugelTour!
The project was awarded a $30,000 grant - the maximum amount possible under the program. In the award notification, the Goethe Institut jury shared that they were drawn to how the project connects Seiffen’s traditional toy-making woodcraft with Carmel’s vibrant public spaces. They especially highlighted the focus on family-friendly, interactive formats that encourage active participation in the design process and accessible play for all ages.
